Edgar J. Helms Gala Awards

We are excited to honor Goodwill NCW team members at the annual Goodwill Starts with You Gala.

The Goodwill NCW Edgar J. Helms Awards are named in honor of the founder of the Goodwill movement whose vision to transform lives through the power of work is carried forward in the lives of those served by Goodwill NCW.

We will be honoring a 2024 award recipient in each of the categories below at the Gala on Oct. 2.

The Edgar J. Helms Achiever of the Year Award honors an outstanding individual who has shown great progress in overcoming barriers to employment.

The Edgar J. Helms Veteran of the Year Award honors an outstanding United States or Canadian veteran who has shown great progress in overcoming barriers to employment.

The Edgar J. Helms Graduate of the Year Award honors an outstanding graduate of a Goodwill NCW program who has shown great progress in overcoming barriers to employment.

This year's winners will be selected out of nominees from across north central Wisconsin for their outstanding achievement in building skills to sustain employment and improve their financial stability. The Edgar J. Helms award winners are an inspiration to all who support Goodwill NCW’s mission of Elevating People by Eliminating Barriers to Employment and to others who are served by the mission.

Each of the winners will receive an award package, which includes being honored at the Goodwill Starts with You Gala, one night stay at the Lodge Kohler and a Lambeau Stadium & Hall of Fame tour.
